This is a beautiful Statement Pendant.

I found this stone on one of my gem trips and was just blown away by finding a Dendritic Agate with a druse (druzy) pocket. You rarely see the two together so I grabbed it. I held on to that stone for 6 years, not knowing what to do with it until I brought back my Leaf & Twig designs from 2006...and then it all came together beautifully. A natural stone with a organic leafy design...perfect!

The Pendant is 1 3/4" wide by 2" total width & height.

2.7mm Sterling Silver Oval Cable Chain can be made 16" up to 18"

I wanted to create a delicate yet beautiful Leaf and Twig Ring using an Uncut Raw Montana Pink Sapphire, so I sculpted the branch band first and then I hand sculpted two natural flowing leaves along with their stems that embrace the uncut stone as if it was two hands are holding the stone. These are truly elegant rings that will flatter her finger. 

I created this setting in wax then cast in solid 14k white gold in our studio. 

The blue raw uncut, unheated sapphire is 1.5ct that measures 6.3mm x 6.0mm x 6.2mm

Sapphires have a Mohs scale of 9 Precious Stone.

What an Honor!

I was blown away when my Mom called and said, You made it on the front page of Charlotte Style!  I was in the studio and hadn't made it out that day but once my husband came home, he was carrying a small stack of Newspapers....you could tell, he was beaming with pride. He has so much confidence in my work, LOL...probably more than I do.

It was so important for me to come back to NC to make my jewelry and then to be recognized this way, it's an amazing feeling.

I can't thank Olivia Fortson (writer) and Kiran Dodeja Smith (photographer) for visiting my studio and getting to know me and my work...what awesome people to meet.

I ofter kid around with people that I wear bunny slippers to work but Olivia was right, I actually curl up my legs in my chair looking at my mandrel, visualizing my next project, and yes...barefoot and very happy with my job.

Aquamarine Leaf & Twig Ring

This Aquamarine is 12.5mm x 10mm x 5mm which screamed creating a low profile ring-band type ring. 

I added 6 hand sculpted leaves, four used as post and two in the front and back to create a round look to the setting. This is going to be one of those great everyday rings.
