Our very own model...
My daughter-in-law, Sandra Simms has graciously accepted my request to
model some of my jewelry so that you can see how they look on a person,
with a dress etc. Sandra is about 5'6", slim and beautiful blue eyes.
Here she is wearing a Fan Coral Necklace from my
Ocean Reef Collection. It's Sterling Silver, Solid 14k gold and three
small accent diamonds.
Here is a perfect example of what I wanted to accomplish having
Sandra wear my jewelry. This Starfish cuff fits a medium wrist which Sandra has.
...another perfect example, Sandra wears a size 7 ring and
although she doesn't have short fingers, she doesn't have
extra long either.
I have 43 photographs showing different pieces and I have left every photo in full size format so that you can see the detail of the jewelry. Check out our "Model Jewelry" Page to see additional model shots.

New One-of-a-Kind December Special
![]() |
| New One-of-a-Kind pieces I will be introducing several new pieces in our Kudzu & Bamboo line that are one-of-a-kind pieces. I have sculpted (between jobs) so far 2 new kudzu rings which will match the small kudzu cuff design and these two bamboo pieces shown, Wide Bamboo Ring plus the Bamboo Necklace. (still working on the necklace) These will be sculpted, cast, polished and sold. If you are interested in one of these pieces...please e-mail me asap at dawnvertrees@gmail.com for availability and pricing. The options for materials will be Sterling Silver, 18k plated, or solid 14k/18k gold, your choice if chosen before they are cast. Look for additional pieces I'll be sculpting over the next 3 days. I will make an Ocean Reef piece as a one-of-a-kind on request, again, just e-mail me.
Thanks again,
Dawn
These are just great everyday Bamboo Rings.
Rings are available in my Etsy Shop
Two new Bamboo Bands, very simple but has all the
detail that a bamboo ring should have. The one on the left is more contemporay
whereas the one on the right is your traditional bamboo wrap.
![]()
Completed! These turned out adorable, I must take some time to make more of these.
Rings will be available Dec. 2 on our Etsy Site.
If you like my small kudzu cuff...these cute little rings are the matching pieces, especially the one on the left. The Kudzu band on the right is a little chunkier...but they both look as if you went out into the woods and wrapped a twig around your finger. These will be two tone, twig in Sterling Silver and the leaves in 14 gold or 18k gold plated.
OK...this is just cool. Definitely will be making a complete set.
OK, my thinking sort of took a detour somewhere else in my brain but once I put this on (in wax),
it was way too cool. If you like long rings like I do...this is it. This one will have to be
cast and re-photographed asap...because it's just too cool. Katie??? Are you seeing this one?

New Bamboo Ring
The EDGE Bamboo Ring with
sculpted bamboo leaves
I'm not going to be shy about this ring...I love it.
I sculpted a graduated bamboo base and then added three little bamboo leaves to each section of the bamboo. The "Edge" comes from where the wide bamboo starts and the small bamboo begins. This is not a lightweight ring but I've sculpted a well made ring and I think at a great price too. You can check this out at my new Etsy Store, just click on the Etsy Store Logo.

My wife likes Dolphins...Finished!
My not so great picture of the completed Dolphins. I'm usually trying to get them out the door so that my customers can see their new jewelry but hopefully you can see the detail.
Mike also sent me a photo of his wife wearing the dolphins on her omega. I was so pleased to see how the two dolphins layed, it was better than I imaged...to me it makes an elegant statement.

Mike wrote me and told me his wife is very pleased
with the slide and wears it a lot!
This is where we get to play a bit...because I sculpted each dolphin separetely...I get to arrange them and visually show Mike some of his options for placing the dolphins before we cast them. And if your wondering which one we picked...we both picked #1

So to my suprise...I can sculpt a Dolphin.
Mike's Dolphin Slider will be a one of a kind but due to my slip-up, I will be sculpting another pair
to fit a 4-6mm Omega.

Tree Frog Cuff
This is going to be one cool cuff.
The back legs and feet are actually what goes around the arm holding the cuff in place plus the upper left arm and hand just add extra support. The right hand props his head up and although his back is facing you now, when wearing him he is looking at you. So whether he is on your left arm or right, he is always looking at you. As pictured now, he is on your right arm scooting down...on your left arm, he is scooting up your arm. No profile shots yet...still fine tuning his handsome features.
The first casting will be all Sterling Silver with antiquing to bring out the detail and depth in the philodendrons.

Katie's Bouquet
She said YES!!!
Dawn-
I recently saw some of your work at the Apple Festival up in North Carolina. I am interested in having an engagement ring custom created. I love your floral renderings and as such, the inspiration for my ring is the winter flower called the Snowdrop. I'm not exactly sure how I want this executed (not being artistic and such). Please let me know what I needs to happen for this to move forward, thanks so much for your time...
...well, first I needed to see what a Snowdrop Flower looked like and to my suprize...I loved this flower and immediately saw the flower draping over her finger. I pulled several pictures off the web and asked if these were what she had in mind and it was. Here are the inspirational pictures Katie & I agreed upon.
Once I started working on the ring I realized that either the ring was going to have to be shortened or she had to have long fingers, well Katie was blessed with very long fingers, so my Snowdrop Bouquet draping over her fingers could continue.
This is what I sculpted...

| My idea is for the open Snowdrop bud on top will hold a diamond in a 6 prong setting. I've added a blue wax ball to visually show the placement of the setting. |
![]() |
| Not your typical band but once together it all works together. |
![]() |
| I love the additional draped buds on each side. Each semi-open buds are three dimensional showing the detail inside the petals. |
